📋 Description

• Join EMC as the Vice President of Sales & Distribution Management, where you will spearhead the strategies that drive our growth—enhancing our sales culture, reinforcing key agency partnerships, and ensuring consistent, profitable performance across the organization.

• Articulate and disseminate the strategic vision for SDM and EMC’s Sales culture, ensuring alignment with EMC’s mission, values, brand identity, and long-term business objectives.

• Formulate, execute, and assess a unified go-to-market strategy for EMC’s four business units, collaborating closely with Underwriting, Marketing, and Field leadership.

• Create, implement, and evaluate the sales playbook and essential performance metrics aimed at premium growth and distribution optimization.

• Establish and oversee key performance indicators (KPIs) for all functional areas within SDM and Field Sales, holding team members accountable for achieving targets.

• Act as a pivotal leader in Officer decision-making forums and at the executive level for enterprise-wide and significant transformation initiatives and innovation projects, contributing to the overall company strategy, resource allocation, and policy formulation.

• Lead the strategy and engagement efforts for EMC’s most vital Key Distribution Partner (KDP) agency relationships.

• Develop, implement, and assess the execution of EMC’s KDP strategy in close partnership with Underwriting, Marketing, and Field leadership.

• Foster and sustain strategic, reciprocal, value-driven relationships with key agency partners, industry associations, and external stakeholders.

• Proactively identify and communicate trends among independent agents, market shifts, and competitive dynamics; adjust departmental strategies swiftly to uphold EMC’s leadership position.

• Oversee the identification, development, and implementation of short- and long-term data and reporting needs for SDM and Field Operations.

• Guide SDM in supporting and providing Sales and business insights for technology and data transformation initiatives, which include DAP, ADM, CRM, and product enhancements.

• Collaborate with FP&A, project business partners, Compliance, and Internal Audit to ensure the implementation of appropriate controls for relevant data protection regulations and industry standards.

• In close cooperation with FP&A, Legal, Compliance, Underwriting, and the Field, supervise the design, implementation, and maintenance of competitive agency distribution compensation and incentive plans, including all agency compensation contracts and agreements, along with regular analysis of compensation expense levels.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in business, marketing, finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

• A minimum of ten years of progressive leadership experience in insurance sales, distribution, or a related field.

• Advanced insurance designations (CPCU, CIC) are preferred.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the insurance industry, including agency operations and market trends.

• Exceptional understanding of sales, marketing, and distribution strategies for profitable growth.

• Strong capability to establish and nurture effective relationships with agency partners, industry associations, and key stakeholders.

• Proven ability to drive organizational change and lead transformation initiatives, promoting innovation and a culture of continuous improvement.

• Excellent knowledge of company products, services, and philosophies, with the ability to align departmental strategies with enterprise goals.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including executive-level presentations and cross-functional collaboration.

• Strong human relations and leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to build, develop, and mentor high-performing teams.

• Ability to establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), holding leaders accountable for results.

• Strong financial acumen, encompassing budgeting, resource allocation, and strategic investment oversight.

• Capability to manage multiple enterprise-wide initiatives and priorities while ensuring compliance and delivering results.
