This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take charge of a well-established and effective sales playbook, expanding its reach across states, cities, and counties.

• Conduct meetings, cultivate a sales pipeline, and oversee the go-to-market strategy for government sales.

• Engage in sales activities. This is a player-coach role, where a considerable part of your time will be spent directly with customers to close deals.

• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team.

• Collaborate with marketing to enhance event presence, generate leads, and build a robust top-of-funnel pipeline.

• Utilize AI tools to expedite outreach, improve communications, and manage the pipeline effectively.

• Establish and nurture strong relationships with key government stakeholders, including agencies, elected officials, regulators, and associations.

• Create data-driven forecasts and provide insights on pipeline health and learnings to leadership.

• Enhance the deal desk, sales qualification, and processes as the organization expands.


⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated government sales experience with a proven ability to close SaaS contracts with state, city, or county agencies.

• A successful track record of closing deals ranging from $1M to $15M+ ARR with government entities.

• In-depth knowledge of government procurement processes.

• Proven leader and recruiter with the ability to attract and nurture top sales talent.

• Highly analytical with a focus on accountability and measurable results.

• Willingness to travel frequently and manage a calendar filled with events.

• Prepared to leverage AI-powered tools for effective outreach and communications.

• Capable of working independently while maintaining a strong enthusiasm for selling.
