This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Assist the physician division while supervising the accounts receivable team.
• Gather outstanding insurance balances.
• Challenge denied claims and resolve accounts receivable issues for clients.
• Offer support and solutions for inquiries from both external and internal clients.
• Prepare necessary reports or logs as needed.
• Act as a technical authority on financial class responsibilities.
• Stay updated on current healthcare issues and regulations.
• Report on payment and denial trends, as well as procedural challenges to clients.
• Suggest corrections for identified trends and issues.
• Set goals and priorities that align with organizational objectives.
• Assist the Business Development team throughout the sales process.
• Ensure timely disabling of remote client access for terminated or transferred employees when applicable.
• Safeguard and disclose protected health information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Adhere to Information Security and HIPAA policies and procedures.
• Limit access to PHI to the minimum necessary for assigned responsibilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required or noted as the primary qualification.
• MBA and/or CPA is highly preferred.
• Over 10 years in progressively responsible financial leadership positions.
• Preferably experience in an acute care environment or a comparable revenue cycle organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to comprehend complex reimbursement frameworks.
• Ability to implement contractual and governmental regulations in billing processes.
• Familiarity with governmental, legal, and regulatory guidelines concerning collection activities.
• Knowledge of insurance company reimbursement methods.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all organizational levels.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on precise and timely analyses.
• High integrity, reliability, urgency, and results-driven mindset.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have a smartphone or electronic device that can download applications for multifactor authentication and security purposes.
• Capability to follow instructions, collaborate with others, and manage stress effectively.
• Ability to meet the physical and mental demands required for the role.
