This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Take charge of the strategic direction regarding pricing, merchant lifetime management strategy, and the merchant review and treatment process.
• Lead and nurture a team of pricing and risk specialists, comprising senior individual contributors and analysts.
• Drive innovation, provide guidance, and establish the analytical standards for the team's quantitative efforts using SQL, Python, and statistical analysis tools like decision trees; thoroughly review and challenge analyses and recommendations before they are presented to the broader business.
• Manage merchant analytics and reports, ensuring the monitoring and implementation of portfolio-wide adjustments as necessary.
• Collaborate with the revenue team to create optimal engagement strategies that uphold profitability.
• Work alongside sales, operations, and compliance to design experiments, monitor their outcomes, and put forth recommendations.
• Clearly communicate findings, trade-offs, and recommendations to senior leadership, utilizing a data-driven approach.
• Over 7 years of experience in pricing, risk, or marketing strategy within the lending, credit, or LTO sectors—at least 2 of those years in a managerial role.
• A proven history of crafting innovative business solutions that yield measurable results.
• Practical experience with decision-tree analysis tools such as Knowledge Seeker or Enterprise Miner; familiarity with SQL, Python, and sigma reporting is essential.
• Experience in managing senior individual contributors, including those with greater technical expertise in specific areas.
• Excellent cross-functional communicator capable of translating complex analyses for various stakeholders, including sales, finance, operations, and engineering, and adapting the level of detail based on the audience.
• Demonstrated ability to make difficult decisions and take responsibility for the outcomes—clearly frames trade-offs and offers constructive pushback to senior stakeholders when supported by data.
• Experience in merchant management or small business lending is a bonus.
