
Vice President, Payer Contracting – Commercial

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Supervise the Commercial division within the Strategic Payer Partnerships team to ensure that performance targets and objectives are met.
• Lead the assessment of potential health plan partnerships, including negotiating terms and reviewing, amending, and recommending approval of value-based care contracts for Commercial members/patients.
• Identify and source market growth and expansion opportunities for multi-year risk arrangements.
• Work in collaboration with Executive Leadership to define Aledade's strategy for value-based contracting on behalf of independent primary care practices.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
• Lead, manage, and assess a team of senior leaders, ranging from Manager to Sr. Director.
• Inspire, mentor, and develop the team to ensure alignment of talent with company and team objectives.
• Cultivate a productive environment and culture that reflects Aledade’s core values.
• Oversee the analysis of potential health plan network participation agreements, including negotiating terms and reviewing, editing, and recommending approval of participation agreements across various lines of business.
• Collaborate internally to assess and recommend prioritized market growth.
• Create and present external-facing materials in support of network participation agreements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Over 15 years of progressive experience with health plans or payer contracting in value-based care, including more than 7 years of experience in team management and leadership.
• Extensive knowledge of commercially insured populations.
• Results-driven with the capability to influence outcomes to reach goals.
• Proven history of establishing, maintaining, and enhancing relationships while effectively communicating with senior management.
• Expertise in business development at both local and national levels.
• Committed to facilitating the transition from fee-for-service to value-based care.
