
Vice President of Sales, Higher Education

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of annual and quarterly bookings, recurring revenue, pipeline, and forecast commitments for the Higher Education sector.
• Formulate and implement a go-to-market strategy targeting public, private, community colleges, and system-level institutions.
• Drive the acquisition of new customers while enhancing existing strategic accounts across the Instructure portfolio.
• Ensure consistent forecast accuracy through disciplined pipeline analysis and operational rigor.
• Identify new growth prospects, market trends, and competitive strategies to boost business performance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Regional Vice Presidents, Directors, and front-line sales leaders.
• Cultivate a high-performance culture centered on accountability, collaboration, coaching, and execution.
• Recruit and retain top-tier enterprise sales talent while fostering the growth of emerging organizational leaders.
• Establish clear operating rhythms, performance expectations, and leadership development initiatives.
• Promote an inclusive, customer-centric culture that empowers teams to achieve outstanding results.
• Build strong executive relationships with presidents, provosts, CIOs, instructional leaders, and procurement officials.
• Act as the executive sponsor for strategic clients and high-impact opportunities.
• Partner with Marketing to enhance demand generation and market visibility.
• Contribute to pipeline evaluations, forecast discussions, and executive business planning.
• Ensure the consistent application of sales methodologies, CRM, and best operational practices.
• A minimum of 12 years of enterprise SaaS sales experience with progressive leadership responsibilities.
• Proven success in leading large enterprise sales organizations through second-line leaders.
• Experience in selling complex software solutions to Higher Education institutions.
• Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding revenue and growth objectives.
• Strong executive presence and experience engaging with C-suite leaders and executive buyers.
• Expertise in enterprise forecasting, pipeline management, and operational excellence.
• Proficient in coaching, talent development, and organizational leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA is preferred.
• Willingness to travel as necessary to support customers, teams, and industry events.
