This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is tasked with promoting, influencing, and selling Topcon’s Diagnostic and Refractive instrument platform within a specified territory.
• The ASM is expected to travel at least 50% of the time throughout the territory and participate in local and national trade shows as scheduled, including weekends.
• The ASM must become well-versed in both the clinical and technical applications of all products and stay informed about new advancements, concepts, and products.
• This ASM's primary territory is Colorado, and the candidate must reside in this state.
• Responsibilities include promoting and selling Clinical Diagnostic instruments such as OCTs, retinal cameras, topographers, refraction systems, and Topcon’s Harmony Healthcare Digital Management System.
• Develop an annual business plan that will be adjusted and/or updated quarterly.
• Accountable for effective territory planning and regular activities to maximize time efficiency in prospecting and nurturing new accounts, developing existing accounts, securing orders, and generating sufficient sales volume to meet established sales targets.
• Communicate effectively with sales management and various departments within Topcon (Customer Service, Product Service, Marketing, Finance, etc.) regarding competitive issues, territory matters, order status, and complaints, adhering to Topcon QMS processes.
• Conduct weekly instrument demonstrations while customizing presentations and materials to meet specific customer needs and requirements.
• Maintain ongoing relationships with customers as a consultant, source of information, problem solver, and educator.
• Ensure high-quality account profiles are kept up-to-date in our CRM system.
• A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
• Prior experience selling capital equipment to physician offices, hospital systems, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), Government, and National accounts is preferred.
• Business-to-Business Sales experience that showcases a thorough understanding of the sales process and ethical business practices.
• Experience with C-level call points and a demonstration of strategic selling skills is strongly preferred.
• Proven track record of top performance in previous sales roles.
• Familiarity with Health insurance and Payers is strongly preferred.
• Strong presentation skills, business acumen, and leadership attributes.
• A solid understanding of sales metrics, performance measures, and technical indicators.
• Strong analytical and strategic aptitude.
• Excellent interpersonal and client relations skills.
• Proficient negotiation, conflict resolution, and presentation skills.
• Dynamic and innovative problem-solving capabilities.
• A robust client-focused mindset.
