This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Lead, guide, mentor, and oversee front-line sales managers along with direct reports in sales, SDR, and RevOps functions.
• Cultivate a culture of ownership, teamwork, continuous learning, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
• Set clear performance expectations, structured methodologies, and establish a solid culture of accountability.
• Conduct regular reviews of the sales pipeline, provide deal coaching, and manage performance effectively.
• Recruit and onboard additional sales talent as the organization grows.
• Personally handle key relationships with major school districts, childcare providers, and strategic partners.
• Consistently achieve or exceed both team and individual revenue targets.
• Actively pursue, negotiate, and finalize complex enterprise deals with large school districts and childcare organizations.
• Guide intricate, multi-stakeholder sales processes from initial prospecting to contract execution.
• Support team members on high-value deals and negotiations at the executive level.
• Maintain an individual quota focused on strategic and enterprise opportunities.
• Collaborate with the CEO to develop and implement the company's sales strategy.
• Build reliable processes for pipeline generation and forecasting.
• Enhance CRM hygiene, sales metrics, and reporting mechanisms.
• Define key performance indicators for pipeline health, conversion rates, sales velocity, and customer acquisition.
• Refine sales playbooks, messaging, pricing strategies, and competitive positioning.
• Identify new market opportunities and strategies for expansion.
• Work closely with Operations to ensure seamless and successful fulfillment of newly sold contracts.
• Partner with Customer Success to maximize renewals, expansion, and customer advocacy.
• Relay direct client and market feedback to Product leadership to shape roadmaps and competitive strategies.
• Represent BrightBee at conferences, customer events, webinars, and industry gatherings.
• A minimum of 5 years of B2B sales experience in the education technology sector.
• At least 3 years of management experience, ideally within a sales environment.
• Willingness to engage in extensive domestic travel for regional conferences, client meetings, and industry events.
• A proven track record of consistently meeting or surpassing individual and team revenue goals.
• Experience in managing personnel in either direct territory/sales oversight or related operational management roles.
• Demonstrated success as a player-coach, balancing individual quota responsibilities while managing others.
• Strong consultative selling abilities and skills in building executive relationships.
• Experience navigating complex sales cycles involving multiple decision-makers.
• Proficiency in utilizing and developing CRM systems (HubSpot is the current CRM used).
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced startup environment with shifting priorities.
