Vice President of Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Take charge of and implement the annual and long-term revenue strategy.

• Personally manage and secure relationships with key donors.

• Create a diversified funding model that includes individual, institutional, and corporate sources.

• Enhance systems, team structure, and fundraising capabilities.

• Establish and meet ambitious annual and multi-year fundraising targets.

• Formulate and execute a thorough, data-driven fundraising strategy.

• Oversee and expand a portfolio of major donors, particularly those contributing $25,000 or more each year.

• Lead the organization's initiatives to convey its mission, impact, and funding requirements.

• Build, manage, and coach a high-achieving Development team.

• Act as a key organizational leader, contributing to both short-term and long-term strategic planning.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or higher is required.

• Over 8 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, including leadership roles.

• A proven track record of successfully cultivating and closing six- and seven-figure donations.

• Experience in managing and expanding major donor portfolios.

• A strong history of building or scaling a development function and leading a high-performing team.

• Excellent communication skills.

• A profound commitment to educational equity and alignment with LGR’s mission.

• Candidates must reside in the Northeast, particularly within New England and the Mid-Atlantic region.
