Vice President of Business Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Establishes and leads the business development strategy aimed at enhancing the sales pipeline.

• Oversees the regional business development and sales teams.

• Guides the sales and customer strategies across various regions.

• Responsible for key account strategies and collaborates closely with sales leaders.

• Defines procedures and supervises implementation teams to enhance the customer experience.

• Evaluates the training needs of the sales team.

• Creates territory business plans that align with local targets and business demands.

• Works in partnership with the line manager to formulate the EU variable compensation plan.

• Contributes to the strategic direction of Eurofins Discovery from the EU region viewpoint.

• Analyzes competitive landscape within the region and devises competitive strategies.

• Manages the sales channel strategy by utilizing knowledge of market trends.

• Collaborates with Site leaders, Managing Directors, and Presidents of Eurofins Discovery legal entities.

• Develops and oversees the DiscoveryOne (integrated drug discovery) sales initiatives across Europe.

• Assists in the annual budgeting process by providing comprehensive analysis of sales.

• Formulates annual and long-term plans and budgets, monitors progress, ensures compliance, and evaluates performance.

• Identifies new market opportunities for the Eurofins Discovery portfolio.


⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced degree in a relevant technical/scientific field or business.

• At least 10 years of progressive experience in commercial development, strategy, and business development.

• Proven track record in business development management and experience in Contract Research Organizations (CROs).

• Previous achievements in leading and being accountable for the profitable growth, forecasting, business strategy, and execution of a multi-million dollar product/services portfolio.

• Strong awareness and monitoring of competitive activities in the pre-clinical and clinical CRO markets.
