This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and nurture a team of 5–10 National Account Managers.
• Present strategic initiatives to expand national opportunities and achieve top-line objectives.
• Align business strategies, goals, and KPIs with Bunzl's sales tactics.
• Enhance team capabilities through instruction, training, coaching, and motivation.
• Facilitate business development for large accounts.
• Foster customer loyalty and enhance relationships within the portfolio.
• Assist National Account Managers in securing long-term contracts.
• Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews with customers and Bunzl's leadership team.
• Manage customer profitability and growth metrics.
• Plan and forecast business requirements for key initiatives.
• Collect, analyze, and present competitive insights to senior leadership.
• Hold bi-weekly team meetings to share best practices and promote competition.
• Achieve and surpass organizational growth budget targets.
• Conduct monthly one-on-one pipeline assessments with team members.
• Arrange monthly reviews with Regional Vice Presidents.
• Compile monthly profitability and sales reports utilizing Power BI dashboards.
• Review newly closed sales and opportunities that require support.
• Collaborate with HR on team development, promotions, and recruitment.
• Spearhead the growth of disposable products, packaging, janitorial supplies, safety, sanitation, and food service products for distributor customers in the hospitality and food-service sectors.
• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline or an equivalent amount of relevant experience required.
• Over 10 years of experience in sales/account management.
• Previous experience in people leadership or strong evidence of peer leadership.
• Ability to utilize analytical and financial skills for informed business decisions.
• Knowledge of financial modeling and cost accounting principles.
• Proven track record in developing and implementing a sales strategy.
• Proficiency in a Windows operating system environment.
• Prior experience with AS400 systems is highly preferred.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to enhancing business profitability.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team framework.
• Successful candidates must reside in the U.S., ideally near a major airport.
• Willingness and ability to travel 40% of the time, including overnight trips.
