This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and spearhead Marathon’s health economics function.
• Implement methodologies, analytics, and operational frameworks that support value-based care delivery.
• Create and enhance ROI methodologies, cost-of-care analytics, and frameworks for measuring value.
• Evaluate clinical and claims data to uncover high-value cohorts, identify cost drivers, and find opportunities to enhance outcomes while minimizing unnecessary healthcare expenses.
• Design scalable frameworks and tools for delivering consistent insights and value reporting at the client level.
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Population Health, Finance, Growth, Product, and Analytics teams.
• Assist in new client sales and renewals via economic modeling, value forecasts, and narratives on outcomes.
• Recruit and nurture a team of health economists, actuaries, and analytical specialists.
• Establish a trustworthy and repeatable ROI methodology along with scalable client value reporting within the first 12 to 18 months.
• Integrate health economics insights into clinical and operational decision-making processes.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field along with a minimum of 10 years of experience in health economics, actuarial science, value-based care analytics, outcomes research, or cost-of-care modeling, or a similar combination of education and experience.
• Familiarity with employer-sponsored healthcare, population health, advanced primary care, ACOs, or risk-based care models.
• Proven ability to develop new capabilities or frameworks in intricate healthcare settings.
• Excellent analytical and communication abilities.
• Capacity to convert complex analyses into comprehensible insights for executive and client stakeholders.
• Experience in collaborating across clinical, financial, analytics, and commercial teams.
• Background in building and managing teams of health economists, actuaries, and analytical specialists.
