Vice President – Head of State Government Affairs

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Act as the Vice President, Head of State Government Affairs, overseeing the strategy for legislative and regulatory matters at the state level.

• Lead a team of government affairs specialists and regulatory advisors.

• Offer top-tier government affairs guidance to internal business stakeholders.

• Establish legislative and regulatory priorities that align with organizational objectives.

• Promote collaboration within the Government Affairs division and throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in state government affairs, legislative or regulatory policy, or similar positions.

• Solid understanding of property and casualty insurance regulations, including rate and form concerns.

• Proven track record in legislative advocacy and regulatory interaction.

• Experience in management, including leading teams and supervising legal or regulatory advisors.

• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities.
