This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Formulate and implement Sonepar USA’s national growth strategy for Government & Military sectors.
• Identify and rank target agencies, programs, contract vehicles, and customer demographics.
• Develop strategies for market entry, expansion, and penetration within federal procurement channels.
• Collaborate with Operating Companies to identify, qualify, pursue, and convert opportunities into profitable revenue streams.
• Create national account strategies targeting EPCs, general contractors, defense contractors, and manufacturers within the Defense Industrial Base.
• Develop repeatable sales playbooks, pursuit frameworks, account prioritization tools, and opportunity management processes.
• Cultivate executive-level relationships with government stakeholders, contractors, manufacturers, consultants, strategic partners, and industry influencers.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Cybersecurity, Supply Chain, Operations, and Digital teams to ensure compliant and scalable execution.
• Design and lead an enterprise-wide growth platform catering to government, military, utility, infrastructure, broadband, and public sector customers nationwide.
• Establish Sonepar as the preferred partner in electrical distribution across government, defense, utility, energy, and public infrastructure markets.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in Federal Government, Military, Defense, and/or Government Contracting sectors.
• Proven experience in leading and expanding a national business segment, strategic vertical, or market-focused organization.
• In-depth knowledge of federal procurement processes, contract vehicles, acquisition pathways, and government purchasing behaviors.
• Demonstrated success in developing growth strategies involving DoD, USACE, NAVFAC, GSA, VA, and/or other federal agencies.
• Experience in influencing and driving results within complex, decentralized, or matrixed organizations.
• Strong ability to cultivate executive-level relationships with customers, contractors, manufacturers, and strategic partners.
• Experience in creating scalable sales processes, pursuit frameworks, and business development initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Willingness to travel nationally up to 60% of the time.
• Must be authorized to work for Sonepar USA without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Preferred: Experience in electrical distribution, industrial distribution, construction, infrastructure, industrial automation, utility, or related industries.
• Preferred: Knowledge of military construction, facilities modernization, infrastructure resiliency, and facility maintenance programs.
• Preferred: Familiarity with EPCs, general contractors, defense contractors, and manufacturers within the Defense Industrial Base.
• Preferred: Understanding of CMMC, cybersecurity requirements, FAR, DFARS, and related federal compliance standards.
• Preferred: MBA, engineering degree, or related advanced degree.
• Prior military experience is a plus but not mandatory.
