This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead Circana's global revenue accounting function.
• Oversee revenue recognition and reporting, as well as billing, collections, cash application, and contract review.
• Ensure adherence to U.S. GAAP, ASC 606, SOX, and internal control standards.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue closing procedures, including journal entries, reconciliations, reporting, and management reviews.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce global revenue recognition policies and procedures.
• Review customer contracts and commercial agreements, resolving complex revenue recognition issues.
• Research and apply U.S. GAAP guidance to intricate and non-routine revenue transactions.
• Promote process improvement, standardization, scalability, automation, and harmonization across global revenue operations.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to implement and enhance systems, improve data quality, and create scalable solutions.
• Utilize Dynamics CRM, NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management, and other technologies to automate revenue lifecycle operations.
• Create KPIs, analytics, and reporting on revenue performance and operational efficiency.
• Enhance Order-to-Cash processes to support business growth.
• Collaborate with Commercial, FP&A, Legal, Operations, Sales Operations, and IT teams on contractual arrangements and new offerings.
• Assist external auditors regarding revenue recognition, controls, and audit requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop global revenue accounting and collections teams.
• Assess organizational effectiveness and implement improved global operating models.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management (ARM) is essential.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience within public and/or private company settings.
• Experience in leading revenue accounting, billing, collections, cash application, or broader Order-to-Cash functions in a global organization.
• At least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role, managing and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong understanding of ASC 606, along with experience applying revenue recognition principles across software, service contracts, revenue-sharing arrangements, barter transactions, and multi-element deliverables.
• Proven track record of driving process improvement, automation, transformation, and operational excellence initiatives within a finance organization.
• Experience collaborating with Commercial, Sales Operations, Legal, IT, FP&A, and Controllership teams.
• Proven experience leading global teams.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead complex initiatives, navigate change, and achieve results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Capability to balance deep technical accounting knowledge with operational leadership and strategic thinking.
• Demonstrated commitment to the highest ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Strong work ethic and ability to excel in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• A Master's degree is preferred.
• Experience in both public and private company environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with shared services, outsourced support models, or offshore resources is preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.
