Vice President – General Manager, OSP Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Lead and oversee project and construction management teams executing intricate OSP construction projects throughout the Southern region.

• Supervise daily OSP field operations, encompassing in-house crews, subcontractors, inspections, and quality control measures.

• Address complex operational and project challenges beyond standard procedures in collaboration with cross-functional leadership.

• Design, implement, and consistently enhance a comprehensive OSP construction delivery model, which includes standardized processes, systems, reporting, and tracking.

• Recruit, foster, and expand the OSP Construction team within the Southern region.

• Identify, onboard, and oversee regional subcontractors and additional resources while ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to schedules.

• Establish and nurture relationships with regional clients, utilities, municipalities, vendors, and strategic partners.

• Convey expectations, schedules, and performance standards to both internal teams and external collaborators.

• Manage and reinforce relationships with construction vendors and long-term strategic partners.

• Collaborate with the bids and proposals team to provide construction-related insights for RFPs, estimates, schedules, and regional execution strategies.

• Act as the senior operational authority for OSP construction-related technical and operational issues within the Southern region.

• Ensure alignment among regional construction operations, engineering, business development, and financial targets.

• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, quality, and continuous improvement across Southern construction initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline is required; an advanced degree is preferred.

• Over 10 years of progressive leadership experience in Telecom OSP Construction.

• Extensive experience on the contractor or service provider side.

• Proven experience leading large-scale OSP construction programs.

• Strong understanding of regional permitting, utilities, and municipal regulations.

• Ability to manage project teams, field operations, subcontractors, and inspection processes across multiple states.

• Experience in developing scalable construction processes, systems, and performance metrics.

• Practical experience supporting bids, proposals, and RFP responses from a construction execution viewpoint.

• In-depth knowledge of safety, quality, scheduling, cost control, and risk management in OSP construction.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.

• Ability to function effectively at both strategic and operational levels.

• Willingness to travel frequently throughout the Southern region.
