Vice President, Finance – FP&A, G&A

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Provide leadership, oversight, and proactive management of all financial aspects (FP&A and G&A) for the Business Unit.

• Supervise finance FP&A and G&A functions, including the development and monitoring of progress against the Annual Operating Plan.

• Conduct financial analysis, pinpoint month-end financial drivers, and forecast, including headcount planning, to ensure compliance with state regulations.

• Analyze medical cost trends and spearhead initiatives for medical cost improvements.

• Execute financial impact assessments for new contracts and assist in negotiations.

• Review monthly business unit performance and financial outcomes, delivering recommendations, variance explanations, and forecast implications to senior management.

• Establish the financial strategic vision, objectives, policies, and procedures that align with the overall strategic plan.

• Oversee and validate pricing models.

• Lead initiatives to pinpoint inefficiencies and areas for growth and enhancement.

• Direct the analytical needs of health plans and coordinate reporting strategies.

• May oversee rate-setting activities and collaborate with corporate and state actuaries.

• Undertake other assigned responsibilities and adhere to policies and standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent experience is required.

• A minimum of 8 years in a senior finance role within the healthcare or insurance sector is required.

• Prior management experience, including hiring, training, delegating tasks, and managing staff performance.

• A Master's Degree is preferred.

• CPA certification is preferred.

• Experience with Medicaid and Medicare is preferred.
