This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the execution of environmental programs throughout all phases of Galaxy development and key facility operation sites.
• Ensure the uniform application of Galaxy's environmental standards, procedures, and management systems.
• Take ownership of environmental KPIs across all locations and promote ongoing improvements.
• Lead environmental due diligence for potential sites and collaborate with Site Development on assessing environmental risks and permitting feasibility during site selection.
• Evaluate engineering and design submissions for environmental compliance and formulate permitting strategies for complex or multi-jurisdictional sites.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Pre-Construction teams to integrate environmental requirements into site plans and project timelines.
• Supervise contractor environmental performance during active construction phases and enforce site-specific environmental regulations.
• Work alongside Construction leadership on planning for construction phases and facility startups.
• Manage environmental permitting and renewals across the operational portfolio.
• Collaborate with Operations on ongoing compliance, permit conditions, and reporting after turnover.
• Act as the primary escalation point for significant site-level environmental incidents, regulatory communications, and enforcement issues.
• Oversee the environmental budget and distribute field resources effectively.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Director of EHS.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is required.
• 8–11 years of experience in EHS, with at least 5 years in leadership roles within EHS.
• Proven experience in managing environmental compliance programs across multiple sites.
• Strong understanding of RCRA, CWA, CAA, NEPA, and relevant state/regional regulations (e.g., TCEQ).
• Experience with ISO 14001, environmental due diligence, and permitting strategies for complex, multi-jurisdictional sites.
• Excellent analytical and presentation skills, with experience presenting data to executive-level audiences.
• Preferred background in data centers, critical facilities, manufacturing, or logistics environments.
