Vice President, Enterprise Data Strategy – Governance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Defining and advancing the enterprise data strategy to align with business priorities, digital transformation objectives, and the operational model.

• Leading the design and implementation of enterprise data governance frameworks, encompassing data ownership, stewardship, quality, and standards.

• Collaborating with IT and business leaders to develop scalable data platforms, including cloud solutions, Master Data Management (MDM), metadata management, and analytics capabilities.

• Creating governance forums and executive steering committees to align priorities, manage risks, and ensure the realization of value.

• Spearheading cross-functional change management initiatives to foster data-driven decision-making, promote trusted data usage, and achieve enterprise-wide adoption.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree or higher with fifteen (15) years of experience in enterprise data strategy, governance, analytics, or digital transformation, OR a High School Diploma/GED with nineteen (19) years of experience in the same fields.

• Demonstrated success in implementing or enhancing enterprise data governance frameworks within complex, multi-business unit organizations.

• Extensive knowledge in data architecture, MDM, metadata management, data quality, lineage, and contemporary cloud data platforms.

• Proven ability to influence senior executives and achieve alignment between business and technology functions.

• Experience in leading large-scale transformations, designing operating models, and initiating cross-functional change projects.

• Excellent executive communication skills, capable of translating complex subjects into practical insights.
