This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Conducts assessments for risk control, providing evaluation, consulting, and technical support for new, prospective, and renewal business.
• Executes evaluations of workplace and work site risks, alongside offering consultative services for risk improvement.
• Makes recommendations regarding risk for the underwriting process.
• Proposes solutions to clients aimed at minimizing risk exposure.
• Collaborates with senior risk control personnel to evaluate the needs of accounts and/or book of business.
• Implements tailored strategies to meet specific requirements.
• Works in conjunction with underwriting and other departments to supply relevant information for risk evaluation and assessment.
• Reviews accounts to identify operational issues, profitability, claims, and agency management concerns.
• Analyzes losses for individual accounts to pinpoint root causes of loss, trends, and emerging issues.
• Cultivates and sustains business relationships with both internal and external partners.
• Facilitates education and training programs, including presentations.
• Conducts visits to agencies and brokers to foster relationships and promote company products and services.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Preferred professional designations.
• Typically requires three to five years of experience in risk control.
• Strong technical expertise and product-specific knowledge.
• Skills in risk control evaluation and assessment.
• Familiarity with insurance and risk control principles.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
• Strong organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize multiple simultaneous assignments.
• Capability to navigate ambiguous situations and challenges.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Capacity to exercise independent judgment and make effective critical business decisions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other business-related software.
