Principal Identity Governance and Administration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Design, architect, implement, and support enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions for workforce, privileged, service, and application identities.

• Act as a technical expert for Microsoft Entra ID, covering aspects such as Conditional Access, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Single Sign-On (SSO), Privileged Identity Management (PIM), access reviews, and identity protection features.

• Create and maintain hybrid identity solutions that encompass Active Directory, Azure, Entra ID, and various cloud/SaaS platforms.

• Spearhead hands-on engineering and automation initiatives utilizing PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, REST APIs, and associated tools.

• Establish and enhance IAM integration methodologies for enterprise applications utilizing SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SCIM, LDAP, and other relevant identity standards as necessary.

• Assist in the design and execution of role-based access control (RBAC), principles of least privilege, privileged access governance, and lifecycle management processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.

• An advanced degree is preferred.

• At least 8 years of progressive experience in Identity and Access Management, security engineering, infrastructure engineering, or similar technical fields.

• Extensive practical experience in IAM architecture, engineering, and operational delivery.

• Profound technical knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, Active Directory, PowerShell, and identity-related Microsoft cloud services.

• Familiarity with SQL or relational data platforms for reporting, reconciliation, and analysis purposes.

• Understanding of authentication and federation protocols such as SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, Kerberos, LDAP, and SCIM.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills in complex enterprise environments.

• Experience in implementing enterprise-grade Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) tools (e.g., SailPoint, Saviynt, Okta).
