Vice President – Economic Opportunity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia.

📋 Description

• Co-facilitate the formulation and implementation of a long-term Economic Opportunity strategy.

• Drive the advancement of technical methodologies, evidence-driven programming, and learning frameworks throughout the portfolio.

• Work collaboratively with institutional leaders to pinpoint emerging trends, insights from implementation, and opportunities in workforce development.

• Supervise a global portfolio of Economic Opportunity projects and programs, ensuring excellence in execution, technical integrity, financial management, compliance, learning, and impact.

• Act as a senior representative of FHI 360 in interactions with Economic Opportunity clients, partners, and stakeholders involved in implementation.

• Provide leadership and mentorship to senior directors, directors, managers, and project teams across various countries and regions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree in international development, Economics, Economic Development, Workforce Development, Business Administration, Public Policy, Public Administration, or a related discipline.

• Over 15 years of progressively responsible experience in managing complex national or international development initiatives and portfolios (or over 12 years with a PhD).

• At least 9 years of senior leadership experience overseeing large, complex portfolios and teams.

• Proven track record in leading global teams and managing substantial financial and human resources.

• Experience in international NGOs or mission-driven organizations.

• Strong proficiency in project management, strategic planning, financial oversight, and organizational leadership.
