This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +5 more states.
β’ Drive the growth of new equipment finance business by directly engaging with middle-market, large corporate, private equity-backed, and other commercial clients.
β’ Create and oversee a dynamic pipeline through strategic prospecting, referrals, existing industry connections, and targeted business-development efforts.
β’ Forge relationships with CFOs, treasurers, controllers, procurement leaders, operating executives, private equity sponsors, and other key decision-makers.
β’ Identify opportunities for capital expenditures, technology investments, facility expansions, automation projects, and equipment replacement needs.
β’ Design and structure equipment loans, leases, and tailored financing solutions.
β’ Develop and present financing proposals that clearly articulate structure, pricing, and value.
β’ Collaborate with credit, operations, documentation, asset management, and senior leadership throughout the opportunity to funding process.
β’ Collect financial, operational, and transaction data to create comprehensive credit presentations.
β’ Maintain ownership of client relationships and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
β’ Enhance relationships by recognizing additional equipment categories, locations, business units, and financing needs.
β’ Keep accurate pipeline reporting, production forecasts, calling activity, and account development strategies.
β’ Represent the organization at client meetings, industry events, conferences, and business development occasions.
β’ Proven experience in originating equipment finance transactions directly with commercial end users.
β’ Minimum of five years of experience in originating equipment finance transactions directly with commercial end users.
β’ Personally originated and funded at least $20 million in equipment finance volume in any one of the past three years.
β’ Capability to independently generate new business and sustain a steady pipeline of qualified opportunities.
β’ Established relationships with middle-market companies, larger corporate borrowers, private equity sponsors, or senior financial decision-makers.
β’ Demonstrated success in producing significant annual equipment finance volume.
β’ In-depth understanding of equipment loans, finance leases, tax leases, and other commercial financing structures.
β’ Proficiency in evaluating financial statements and comprehending cash flow, leverage, liquidity, collateral, and business objectives.
β’ Experience in structuring and presenting transactions to credit and senior management.
β’ Ability to sell consultatively and convey value beyond just pricing.
β’ Strong executive presence, excellent communication skills, sound judgment, and follow-through.
β’ Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial, collaborative, and growth-oriented setting.
β’ Willingness to travel as needed for client development and relationship management.
β’ A portable network of commercial relationships.
β’ Experience in developing business directly with middle-market and larger companies rather than primarily through brokers, vendors, or bank-referral channels.
