This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
β’ Establish and convey the vision, priorities, and standards for the copy discipline at Princeton10.
β’ Convert agency objectives into departmental goals, capability plans, and metrics for success.
β’ Serve as the representative for the Copy department on the agency leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and growth initiatives.
β’ Collaborate with Art and other department heads to enhance integration among copy, design, strategy, medical, and client service teams.
β’ Advocate for creative ambition, accountability, and responsible innovation within a regulated industry.
β’ Set benchmarks for concept creation, messaging, storytelling, and copy execution across digital, print, video, motion, and experiential mediums.
β’ Ensure that copy is strategically sound, creatively engaging, factually accurate, and compliant with client and regulatory standards.
β’ Develop review and approval processes, along with quality ownership practices.
β’ Provide senior oversight for high-impact, complex, or sensitive projects.
β’ Identify and resolve recurring quality or delivery challenges through coaching, establishing standards, improving processes, or developing capabilities.
β’ Assess emerging technologies, including AI, to enhance creative quality, efficiency, or service offerings.
β’ Lead, mentor, and develop copywriters, editors, and copy leaders.
β’ Establish role and performance expectations, offer constructive feedback, and address any performance issues.
β’ Recognize emerging leaders and strengthen succession planning.
β’ Anticipate copy demand, allocate talent effectively, and identify any capacity or capability gaps.
β’ Recommend hiring practices, employee development strategies, contractor needs, tools, and investments for the department.
β’ Oversee the budget for the Copy department, understanding the impacts of staffing, utilization, scope, and rework on profitability.
β’ Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and accountable team culture.
β’ Represent the Copy department in senior client presentations.
β’ Cultivate trusted relationships with clients through creative insight, pharmaceutical expertise, and business acumen.
β’ Act as a senior creative advisor for priority accounts, addressing significant creative or client-related challenges.
β’ Lead or assist in creative development for new business pitches, proposals, and account expansions.
β’ Align creative aspirations with business objectives, scope, timelines, and budget considerations.
β’ Translate P10βs copy capabilities into unique offerings, thought leadership, and growth opportunities.
β’ 15+ years of experience in copywriting/creative roles within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or highly regulated advertising sectors.
β’ A minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership position.
β’ Proven experience in leading brand planning for clients with budgets ranging from $3M to $10M.
β’ A strong portfolio that demonstrates cutting-edge work in pharmaceuticals or life sciences, with exceptional direct-to-consumer (DTC) and healthcare professional (HCP) concepts.
β’ Demonstrated ability to lead and develop creative teams effectively.
β’ Experience with resource planning, staffing decisions, budgeting, and understanding commercial factors that influence agency performance.
β’ Comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and industry trends.
β’ Capability to balance creative ambition with strategic compliance, project scope, timelines, and financial realities.
β’ Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
β’ Ability to blend visionary thinking with practical oversight of copy execution.
