Vice President – Coding Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Executive Vice President to define strategic goals, operational priorities, and performance targets.

• Spearhead the creation and execution of business processes that enhance coding efficiency, boost productivity and quality, surpass client expectations, and meet financial objectives.

• Manage both domestic and international coding operations, encompassing production coding, auditing, quality assurance, and client support services.

• Ensure successful client implementation, operational performance, customer satisfaction, compliance, and risk management.

• Cultivate consistent communication and relationship management strategies with clients to build productive, long-term partnerships founded on trust and value.

• Work alongside the technology development team to automate business processes and innovate service delivery improvements.

• Facilitate the onboarding of new clients, ensuring a smooth transition and a positive client experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management or a related field.

• RHIT certification; relevant coding credentials are preferred.

• RHIA certification; relevant coding credentials are preferred.

• 12-15 years of management experience in leading a coding production organization, including proficiency in abstracting ICD-10-CM/PCS, HCPCS/CPT, and modifiers.

• Proven leadership and effective communication skills at various organizational levels are required.

• Demonstrated success in managing multi-level and complex client engagements is essential.

• Experience leading or participating in a global production team.

• Strong computer and software skills are required, including proficiency in Google Workspace, encoder/grouper, and EHRs.

• Extensive knowledge of coding and reimbursement systems, including ICD-10-CM/PCS, HCPCS/CPT, MS-DRGs, and APCs.
