This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Build, motivate, and cultivate a high-performing sales organization.
• Guide the U.S. Cardiovascular Sales team through changes in the organization and market.
• Formulate and implement portfolio and product strategies to enhance growth, customer adoption, and business outcomes.
• Lead successful product introductions.
• Advocate for a patient-centered culture in alignment with Novartis Values & Behaviors.
• Establish expectations and focus on coaching, development, and succession planning.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Market Access, Medical, Integrated Product Teams, and other cross-functional partners.
• Leverage market insights, customer feedback, analytics, and performance data to pinpoint opportunities and guide decisions.
• Optimize field resources, budgets, and organizational investments.
• Assume ownership of national sales performance and financial responsibility for the Cardiovascular portfolio.
• Modify strategies to seize market opportunities and fulfill growth targets.
• Lead through influence, collaboration, strategic alliances, and cross-functional coordination.
• Translate enterprise strategy into actionable execution across matrixed organizations.
• Drive transformational change and deliver results for patients, customers, and the business.
• Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Over 12 years of experience in diverse commercial pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or similarly structured sectors.
• Proven experience managing large, geographically dispersed sales teams.
• Consistent success in second-line sales leadership roles.
• Experience in attracting, developing, and retaining diverse and effective teams.
• Candidates with backgrounds in complex sales environments, such as medical devices, diagnostics, life sciences services, insurance, consumer health, or B2B, are encouraged to apply.
• Experience leading teams focused on specialty therapeutic areas.
• Demonstrated success in launching products.
• Leadership experience in diverse, cross-functional environments, including operations, account management, marketing, and market access.
• Experience in complex sales scenarios involving physicians, managed markets, and accounts with restricted physical access.
• Ability to lead complex business initiatives and address strategic challenges.
• Strong analytical skills, sound decision-making capabilities, and financial acumen.
• Experience managing large-scale budgets.
• Knowledge of U.S. market access dynamics, including payer landscape, buy-and-bill, specialty pharmacy, and evolving healthcare delivery models.
• Capability to lead with confidence, humility, and resilience in complex and dynamic environments.
• Ability to achieve results through collaboration, strategic partnerships, and cross-functional alignment.
• Proven success in leading enterprise change and translating strategy into execution across matrixed organizations.
• Strong judgment, adaptability, and learning agility.

• Advanced degree preferred, such as MBA, MS, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent.
• Preferred experience in leading Cardiovascular or other specialty sales organizations, product launches, market expansion, organized customer environments, commercial transformation, talent development, and competencies in digital, analytics, and AI.
