
Vice President, Business Development – Payments Relationship Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop comprehensive business growth strategies for ICBA Payments’ existing and potential clients, aligned with established business objectives.
• Promote products and services, cultivate new client relationships, and sustain a network of sales prospects.
• Create and deliver proposals to current and prospective clients using ICBA Payments’ resources and tools.
• Assist in the creation of resources, tools, and presentations to bolster organizational business development initiatives.
• Finalize agreements that fulfill customer expectations and correspond with ICBA Payments’ capabilities while achieving sales targets.
• Regularly update and present reports on progress towards sales objectives to the executive leadership team.
• Work in tandem with Product and Marketing teams on new offerings and go-to-market strategies for various segments of existing and potential clients.
• Identify gaps in products and services based on client input and communicate insights to Product and Marketing teams for continuous product improvement.
• Support the launch of new products and services by providing training, outreach, and demonstrations to both existing and prospective clients.
• Represent ICBA Payments at various ICBA, industry, and state association events, engaging with endorsed states as appropriate for sales initiatives.
• Build and sustain robust relationships with ICBA leadership bankers.
• Maintain industry contacts, promoting services and products, sharing information, and staying informed about issues, trends, and advancements in the financial services sector.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
• At least 8 years of experience in the card, banking, or fintech sectors, primarily in business development or a related role.
• In-depth knowledge of the US payments ecosystem.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets and surpassing quotas.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on relationship building.
• Ability to forge and maintain strong relationships across all management levels, other ICBA entities, clients, and the broader banking community.
• Willingness to travel 25-50% of the time.
