This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Generate new business opportunities through industry-standard tools, professional relationships, and various other methods
• Implement operations to meet customer needs while achieving business and financial objectives
• Establish strategic relationships with key personnel at customer organizations, including decision-makers, influencers, and end users
• Coordinate business development initiatives with both new and organic growth targets
• Present initial win concepts to executive management through the company’s gate review process
• Assist in proposal processes and draft proposals as required
• Create, evaluate, and submit successful proposals
• Oversee capture activities for the business unit
• Develop and maintain account plans that reflect current trends
• Execute customer call strategies to qualify and evaluate opportunities
• Assess opportunities to determine CSA’s suitability for pursuit
• Regularly inform leadership about pursuit status
• Carry out capture activities to gain or retain preferred customer status
• Direct capture team efforts and manage the development of opportunity solution sets
• Collaborate with business subject matter experts to create technical, management, and business solutions
• Prepare justifications for partnering with team members for leadership approval when necessary
• Foster and maintain relationships with partner businesses
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 10 years of directly relevant experience in capturing and closing business opportunities within Federal and Civilian sectors
• Strong research and analytical abilities
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Capacity to explain complex issues simply and clearly to a C-Suite audience
• In-depth understanding of joint and service training, exercise, and operations doctrine
• Familiarity with Live, Virtual, Constructive, and Gaming tools and processes
• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint and Teams
• Skill in identifying service-sector business opportunities and performing Shipley-based qualification analysis
• Experience in closing single-award contracts exceeding $10M annually
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as within a team setting
• Analytical skills for business development and capture management
• Strong communication skills for building working relationships, customer engagement, and delivering formal presentations to senior decision-makers
• Experience in analyzing and selecting teaming partners and negotiating teaming agreements
• Established relationships with domestic customers, relevant prime contractors, and pertinent government entities
• Knowledge of U.S. government procurement processes
• Comprehensive understanding of the BD lifecycle and the Shipley method
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship
• Eligibility to obtain at least a Secret clearance
• Experience in Digital Solutions and Software Development is preferred
• Former Military Experience is preferred
• Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer workstation
• Capability to operate keyboards, mice, and other input devices
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication
• Vision capabilities including close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and adjustments
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, or reach
• Capability to access equipment in data centers, offices, or under desks
• Ability to lift and/or move equipment weighing up to 25 pounds
