This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify, cultivate, negotiate, and finalize strategic partnerships that enhance revenue growth, broaden audience reach, facilitate data sharing, and elevate brand visibility.
• Develop and implement partnership strategies across key weather-sensitive sectors such as automotive, media, technology, travel, retail, insurance, healthcare, energy, sports, and emerging markets.
• Create comprehensive 360-degree partnership frameworks that encompass content, data, technology, licensing, sponsorship, marketing, advertising, distribution, and commercial prospects.
• Identify and assess new partnership opportunities that align with AccuWeather’s strategic growth goals and market expansion initiatives.
• Establish and nurture senior-level relationships with executives at prospective and existing partner organizations.
• Collaborate with Product and Technology teams to pinpoint opportunities for integrating weather intelligence into partner platforms, applications, and customer experiences.
• Partner closely with Sales leadership to develop revenue opportunities driven by partnerships and strategies for acquiring enterprise customers.
• Lead intricate commercial negotiations involving licensing agreements, distribution partnerships, joint ventures, sponsorships, co-marketing initiatives, and strategic alliances.
• Enhance and optimize existing partnerships through upselling opportunities, new product launches, and broader strategic engagement.
• Represent AccuWeather at industry conferences, executive forums, trade events, and partner meetings to bolster market presence and create new business opportunities.
• Develop business cases, financial models, and strategic recommendations to support decisions regarding partnership investments.
• Monitor market trends, competitive developments, and emerging industry opportunities to guide partnership strategy and growth initiatives.
• Collaborate across functions to ensure the successful onboarding, implementation, and long-term management of strategic partnerships.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, corporate development, sales, or related commercial leadership positions.
• Proven track record of identifying, negotiating, and closing complex strategic partnerships that yield measurable revenue and business impact.
• Experience in developing partnerships across various industry sectors, preferably including technology, media, data, automotive, travel, retail, insurance, healthcare, or related markets.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with a background in developing business cases and partnership economics.
• Experience leading executive negotiations and managing high-value commercial relationships.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity with weather, data, analytics, SaaS, digital media, information services, or technology companies.
• Experience in forming partnerships that involve multiple components such as content, data, advertising, licensing, technology integration, and go-to-market strategies.
• Global partnership experience, including international business development and cross-border commercial agreements.
• Experience working in a high-growth, innovation-driven environment.
