This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Implement the commercial strategy for innovative ultrasound-based AI products and solutions within the Ventures organization.
• Create and execute cutting-edge business models designed for various emerging markets to ensure financial viability and customer engagement.
• Generate new revenue channels by identifying, assessing, and pursuing global and regional business prospects.
• Act as the main commercial point of contact for the Gates Foundation program and other partnerships, ensuring the achievement of milestones, deliverables, and common goals.
• Cultivate robust relationships with internal collaborators (R&D, Clinical, Marketing, Finance, Regional Teams) and external entities (NGOs, Ministries of Health, global health partners).
• Assist and empower regional markets with commercialization frameworks, pricing strategies, and go-to-market resources.
• Lead the negotiation, structuring, and execution of strategic global and regional agreements, especially those that involve new commercial or risk-sharing models.
• Ensure consistency with both global strategy and local market demands.
• Achieve key performance indicators, including revenue, margin, adoption rates, and partner involvement.
• Monitor downstream program developments, manage risks, and provide regular updates to both leadership and external funders.
• Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and partner meetings to advocate for AI-driven ultrasound innovations.
• Act as a champion for access-to-care initiatives and the overarching mission of Ventures.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales Management, Economics, or a related discipline (mandatory).
• Master’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Global Health, or a similar field (preferred).
• Over 10 years of experience with a Bachelor's or more than 7 years with a Master's in areas such as Business Development, Sales, Commercial Management, Global Health, or Emerging Markets Business Planning, or Corporate Strategy.
• Experience in medical devices, ultrasound technology, digital health, or AI-driven solutions.
• Proven track record in leading multimillion-dollar partnerships, global health programs, or donor-funded projects.
• Strong comprehension of healthcare ecosystems in low and middle-income countries (LMIC), access-to-care models, and unconventional commercial strategies.
• Established ability to function in cross-functional, matrixed global settings.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
