This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma, +1 more state.
• The main responsibility of this role is to drive business development by identifying and targeting key clients, validating opportunities in the energy and industrial sectors, and leading proposals to successfully close projects.
• Strong technical knowledge in electric motor repair, rotating equipment, predictive maintenance, and reliability-centered solutions is essential.
• A proven track record of influencing customer spending decisions and enhancing market share within existing and potential accounts.
• Demonstrated capability to establish rapport and trusted advisor relationships with customers, Territory Account Managers, operations leaders, and executive stakeholders.
• A self-motivated individual with a strong sense of urgency, a positive attitude, and a history of achieving results in competitive industrial markets.
• Ability to identify, create, and convert opportunities that boost revenue from motor services and overall customer wallet share.
• Develop, implement, and execute market and business development strategies along with supporting tactical plans.
• Qualify prospective sales opportunities to assess which ones to pursue.
• Assist with key marketing initiatives such as road shows, national conferences, tradeshows, sales training, and trade organizations.
• Conduct job walks and aid in the preparation of estimates, sales proposals, and presentations.
• Regularly visit accounts to maintain a "strategic relationship" status.
• Support sales processes by managing sales activities within CRM, securing purchase orders, negotiating terms and conditions, and nurturing customer relationships.
• A Bachelor's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
• More than 7 years of proven outside B2B sales experience, ideally in an engineering or heavy industrial market.
• Preference will be given to candidates with successful sales experience in electrical equipment, motor repair and services, or those with experience selling VFD (Variable Frequency Drives) or industrial motor controls to the Oil & Gas or Pulp & Paper sectors, as well as electrical engineers with expertise in rotating equipment or reliability engineering in these industries who possess strong client-facing skills.
• Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and highly motivated.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, written and oral presentation skills along with a solid understanding of profitability and financial metrics.
• Exceptional sales skills, including effective negotiation abilities, the capacity to interact successfully with key customer decision-makers and influencers, and proficiency in prospecting new clients and forecasting future business.
• Must be able to showcase technical knowledge and consultative skills.
• Up to 75% overnight travel is required.
• Advanced computer proficiency with software such as Excel, Word, Adobe, and Microsoft Outlook.
• Familiarity with CRM and lead management software like Salesforce and Industrial Info Resources is essential.
