This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide strategic direction for the organization's accounting and finance team.
• Lead a group of Managers and Financial Analysts responsible for processing transactions within the general ledger.
• Prepare internal financial statements on a monthly basis.
• Deliver reporting and analysis that effectively communicates both actual and projected financial performance.
• Ensure adherence to U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Reporting Regulations.
• Guarantee compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX 404).
• Act as a strategic consultant to executive leadership by offering financial insights, technical accounting advice, and recommendations.
• Oversee the research, interpretation, and application of accounting policies for new products and services.
• Establish and implement a finance technology strategy aimed at improving efficiency, scalability, and informed decision-making.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 12+ years of relevant finance and accounting experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing and developing managers and a professional-level team.
• Certified Public Accountant or equivalent (e.g., Chartered Accountant).
• Extensive experience in researching accounting and reporting matters, including the interpretation of U.S. GAAP and SEC Reporting Regulations.
• Significant background in writing financial analytics for executive-level audiences.
• Extensive SEC Reporting experience in an audit capacity within a CPA firm and/or a corporate external reporting position.
• Experience in designing and assessing internal controls in an audit role within a CPA firm and/or a corporate internal audit/SOX 404 position.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing process enhancements.
• Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred).
• Experience managing individuals who oversee other employees (preferred).
• Considerable experience in the Financial Services sector (preferred).
• Significant accounting experience from a large national or regional CPA firm (preferred).
• Familiarity with the Credit Acceptance operating model and business framework (preferred).
