This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct field assessments, audits, and surveys independently.
• Create maintenance and modernization specifications customized to client requirements.
• Analyze and interpret submittals, shop drawings, and performance data.
• Generate precise VHT-specific construction drawings.
• Confidently interpret construction drawings with minimal supervision.
• Develop innovative elevator design solutions, collaborate with architects and MEP engineers, and incorporate requirements into project documentation.
• Perform traffic analyses using Elevate or equivalent software, interpret findings, and prepare recommendations.
• Act as the primary contact for clients on assigned projects.
• Independently lead client meetings.
• Provide solutions-oriented communication and customized technical recommendations.
• Compose and refine reports, narratives, and proposals.
• Prepare basic specifications and design documentation.
• Review and comment on contractor submittals, drawings, and data to ensure compliance and functionality.
• Participate in QA/QC reviews and contribute to project coordination meetings.
• Collaborate effectively with design disciplines to ensure integration.
• Review the work of less experienced consultants and assist in quality control.
• Actively engage in design reviews and internal sessions.
• Review and enhance new design deliverables to ensure compliance with codes and client needs.
• Maintain timely documentation using internal tools and systems (ClickUp, Bluebeam, Procore).
• Contribute to RFP responses and engage in client pitches.
• Foster new opportunities through professional networks.
• Assist with project scoping and resource planning at the discipline level.
• Highlight and communicate new design capabilities during client pursuits.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management is preferred.
• 3 - 5 years of experience in the elevator/escalator industry (OEM, maintenance, modernization) with a degree, or 7 or more years of experience in the elevator/escalator industry without a related bachelor’s degree.
• Strong working knowledge of ASME A17.1, A17.2, NFPA 70, and IBC.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Bluebeam, and project management platforms such as ClickUp and Procore.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in writing or reviewing specifications.
• OSHA 10/30 or other site safety certifications.
