Veterinary Support Staff

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage incoming calls and chats related to toxic exposures, poisonings, adverse events, and general pet-care inquiries.

• Assess cases and deliver precise medical, health, and safety information.

• Record information in an electronic database.

• Assist pet owners during challenging situations and manage high-pressure calls.

• Work assigned full-time or part-time schedules, which may include evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and rotating holidays.

• Complete 4–6 weeks of full-time paid training.

⛳️ Requirements

• Non-credentialed veterinary support staff with a minimum of 3 years of direct patient care experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital.

• Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Proficient in keyboarding and computer skills (Microsoft Office and commonly used software).

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; must be professional, empathetic, and calm under pressure.

• Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry; capable of multitasking while ensuring quality.

• Proficiency in math across all units of measurement, including fractions, decimals, ratios, and percentages.

• Ability to collect, analyze, and synthesize complex or diverse information.

• Skill in following and applying instructions presented in written, oral, or diagrammatic formats.

• Customer service-oriented mindset with a genuine commitment to the well-being of callers.

• Capacity to uphold the confidentiality of client, product, and company information.

• Reliable internet connection meeting SCI’s IT requirements.
