
Veterinary Oncology Consultant, German and English Speaking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Deliver telephone consultations to veterinary professionals regarding oncology cases in both dogs and cats.
• Provide guidance on the selection of diagnostic tests, interpretation of laboratory results, and options for treatment and management.
• Assist customers with IDEXX oncologic testing, including histopathology, cytology reports, Cancer DX, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and PARR.
• Offer advice on proper sample collection, clinical utility, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
• Support customers utilizing IDEXX in-house diagnostic tests, such as Catalyst and ProCyte analysers.
• Provide recommendations on reference laboratory testing and its availability across various markets.
• Continuously enhance and expand medical knowledge through self-directed learning, participation in scientific meetings, ongoing education, and literature reviews.
• Conduct customer consultations during standard working hours and document these consultations in the Customer Relationship Management system.
• Write or review articles for newsletters, diagnostic updates, service information, and marketing, sales, or educational materials.
• Engage in IDEXX educational and organizational meetings.
• Diplomate status with the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ECVIM-CA, Oncology) or the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM, Oncology).
• Candidates with substantial clinical oncology experience who are board-eligible will also be taken into consideration.
• Proficiency in both German and English, in spoken and written forms, is essential.
• Knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
• Familiarity with veterinary oncology practices, clinical guidelines, and the regulatory and referral landscape in Europe, particularly in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
• Current veterinary license or registration in good standing within a European country.
• Eligibility to work in that country.
• A dedicated, quiet office space is required.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and clinical reasoning abilities.
