Veterinary Clinical Pathologist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• Assess clinical pathology data and generate reports for nonclinical safety studies.

• Assist Study Directors in resolving clinical pathology-related data and issues with sponsors.

• Facilitate client development by engaging in discussions with sponsors regarding study objectives and designs.

• Execute and support company-wide scientific initiatives related to the Clinical Pathology department as assigned.

• Aid in the ongoing development of Study Directors and other Safety Assessment personnel.

• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• D.V.M. (or Equivalent as recognized by AVMA ECFVG) is mandatory.

• MS/MVSc/MSc, and/or Ph. D. is preferred.

• A minimum of 1-4 years of experience as a Veterinary Clinical Pathologist, preferably with experience in pharma, biotech, and/or CRO settings.

• DVM, Diplomate ACVP, JCVP, ECVP in Veterinary Clinical Pathology is required.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and pathology data management systems.

• Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English; capable of reading, analyzing, and interpreting common scientific and technical journals; able to respond to typical inquiries or complaints from customers or regulatory bodies; and, capable of effectively presenting information to clients, management, and public audiences.

• Ability to apply relevant mathematical concepts for the interpretation of scientific studies.

• Training requirements for this position may include ongoing education in toxicology and pathology, along with continual GLP training.

• Additional necessary skills encompass, but are not limited to: general reading, writing, and verbal communication abilities; as well as skills in scientific writing or electronic publishing.

• Preferred qualifications include, but are not limited to: demonstrated expertise in clinical pathology; knowledge of current scientific and industry-specific literature; capability to operate independently with minimal guidance; and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
