
Venue Strategy Manager, Global Meetings Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee venue strategy, hotel sourcing, contracting, and supplier relationship management for Amgen's U.S. Commercial internal meetings portfolio.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to recommend and execute venue strategies for U.S. Commercial internal meetings.
• Act as a trusted advisor to meeting sponsors and senior business leaders.
• Provide governance and oversight for hotel contracting activities.
• Establish strategic hotel partnerships that improve value and service quality.
• Leverage meetings and spending data to pinpoint venue strategy opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
• High school diploma/GED with 15 years of experience in hotel sourcing, venue strategy, strategic meetings management, hospitality, or related fields.
• OR Associate’s degree with 10 years of experience in hotel sourcing, venue strategy, strategic meetings management, hospitality, or related fields.
• OR Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience in hotel sourcing, venue strategy, strategic meetings management, hospitality, or related fields.
• Proven experience presenting recommendations and influencing decisions at the senior leadership level.
• Experience in supporting large-scale Commercial meetings, sales meetings, executive meetings, leadership events, or incentive programs.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate hotel contracts and multi-year supplier agreements.
• Experience collaborating with Executive Directors, Vice Presidents, and Senior Vice Presidents.
• Strong skills in supplier relationship management and negotiation.
• Familiarity with hotel industry trends, sourcing practices, and venue contracting.
• Experience within life sciences, healthcare, or highly regulated industries is preferred.
• Proficient in CVENT and other meeting management technologies.
