Vendor Management Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Standards & Governance: Collaborate across departments, including IT, Legal, and Compliance, to develop and uphold third-party risk standards and governance protocols.

• Due Diligence & Monitoring: Perform thorough vendor due diligence and continuous monitoring tasks, which include assessing consumer-impact risks, analyzing complaints, and verifying compliance with privacy and data protection regulations.

• Documentation & Reporting: Oversee third-party risk documentation and reporting processes, ensuring the maintenance of the vendor and data processor inventory, timely onboarding and offboarding due diligence, and conducting regular compliance reviews.

• Risk Assessment: Carry out daily risk assessments to evaluate vendor significance and pinpoint inherent risks in areas such as PII handling, BSA/AML, and credit decision-making.

• Collaboration: Partner cross-functionally with Legal to ensure effective contracts are established, and with Information Security to confirm the technical safeguards employed by our third-party associates.

• Issue Escalation: Detect, monitor, and escalate risk incidents or performance shortcomings to senior leadership and banking partners through established issue-tracking mechanisms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional experience in vendor risk management, procurement, or third-party compliance, ideally in the fintech or regulated financial services sector.

• Familiarity with the third-party risk management lifecycle and relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., PCI-DSS, SOC 2, GLBA, and BSA/AML).

• A demonstrated history of managing a substantial volume of vendor assessments while maintaining a state of 'audit-readiness' for banking partners and regulators.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or equivalent practical experience.

• Proven experience working with Claude or similar large language model tools is essential; candidates should be adept at utilizing AI to boost productivity, research, and communication.
