This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the design and execution of VDI solutions that are in line with the organization's objectives, encompassing scalable, reliable, and secure hardware and software components.
• Implement and uphold VDI security best practices.
• Monitor VDI performance, detect issues, suggest and apply solutions, and enhance infrastructure for cost-effectiveness, performance, and scalability.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and resource utilization challenges.
• Create and maintain automation scripts and templates for provisioning, configuration management, and deployment.
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, and system administrators to facilitate application development and deployment.
• Keep documentation updated for architectures, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Diagnose and rectify networking, computing, and security challenges.
• Execute network maintenance and operations.
• Document and convey technical information to clients.
• Engage in planning, backlog refinement, prioritization, retrospectives, deployment, and validation efforts.
• Work alongside the manager to synchronize requirements, priorities, and objectives with the overall solution.
• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• Microsoft Server Administrator Associate Certification.
• Over 15 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree in a pertinent field can be substituted for 5 years of relevant experience.
• More than 5 years of experience in setting up and managing cloud infrastructure, preferably with Azure and Kubernetes.
• At least 5 years of experience in integrating and securing ADDS, ADCS, ADFS, Windows AD-integrated PKI, and SSO implementation.
• Over 5 years of experience in managing logs and metrics at high scale.
• More than 5 years of experience with Azure, virtualization, Windows Servers, Windows 11, M365, networks, storage, and Active Directory.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in creating, analyzing, and automating Linux scripts using Python, Command, Bash, C, and Ansible.
• 3+ years of cumulative experience with Hyper-V and VMware.
• 3+ years of cumulative experience in log management, network firewalls, and testing.
• Practical experience in cloud migration.
• Familiarity with securing systems according to STIGs, NIST 800-53, FISMA, FedRAMP, and other governmental/compliance standards.
• Experience in systems administration within Linux environments (RHCE equivalence) or Windows Server environments.
• System administrator-level knowledge of Windows Server.
• System administrator-level knowledge of RHEL/Linux Server.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capacity to quickly adapt to changing priorities and work efficiently under pressure.
• Desired certifications include Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate, CISSP, CCNA, CCNP, VMware VCP 7.0+, and Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE).
• Preferred: 2+ years of recent cumulative Azure Cloud Computing experience.
