Value Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and enhance the impact assessment process — improve tools, refine methodologies, and ensure assessments are tailored and engaging for customers.

• Establish Ashby's value selling strategy — develop frameworks, templates, and messaging for Sales Engineers.

• Facilitate executive-level discussions on significant deals — bring business cases to life with compelling narratives.

• Empower the Sales Engineer and Customer Success Management teams — conduct training sessions and create resources focused on value consulting.

• Collaborate with Customer Success on value realization — align expected outcomes with actual results.

• Test and enhance messaging for larger deals — leverage strategic opportunities to refine the communication of Ashby's impact.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of specialized experience in value consulting or value engineering within the SaaS sector.

• You possess a builder's mentality and can shape the function effectively.

• You prioritize outcomes over features in your thinking.

• You have the ability to empower others and provide coaching to a team.

• Exceptional communication skills, with comfort in engaging with executives.

• Authentic empathy for Talent Acquisition teams.

• Robust experience as a cross-functional partner.

• Previous experience as a Solutions Engineer or management consultant is a plus.

• Familiarity with HR technology or Applicant Tracking Systems is advantageous.

• Experience in developing or enhancing impact assessment tools and processes from scratch is a bonus.

• A proven track record of connecting value consulting efforts to measurable revenue or retention outcomes is a plus.
