This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Carry out daily tasks to achieve key performance metrics, ensure accurate claim management, and deliver exceptional service.
• Analyze root causes, address issues, and create solutions to enhance performance and foster innovation.
• Offer technical assistance to claim teams, including reviews of claim authorizations.
• Act as a subject matter expert on intricate claims matters.
• Enhance initial claim decisions, improve Claim Management Accuracy, and optimize CID turnaround times.
• Utilize automation and alternative sourcing methods to manage additional responsibilities.
• Collaborate across all business lines to advocate for best practices and boost efficiency.
• Facilitate the timely and effective execution of workstream initiatives.
• Report directly to the Technical Manager, Claims.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong analytical, organizational, time management, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Capacity to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Proven experience in training both individuals and teams.
• Ability to mentor and guide staff and colleagues to ensure accurate claim adjudication and support staff growth.
• Competence to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Demonstrated skill in identifying and managing risks.
• Self-driven and motivated.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Group Long Term Disability products, administration, and claims processes.
• Proficient in PC applications, including Microsoft Office, databases, and imaging systems.
• Advanced understanding of the financial, medical, occupational, and investigative elements of disability claims management.
• Excellent PC skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in LTD claims handling, previous DI experience, or equivalent background required.
• At least 1 year of experience in providing feedback to front-line staff and supervisors.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.
