This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Populate Excel-based valuation models utilized for evaluating equity, debt, and various illiquid securities for purposes related to financial reporting, taxation, and transactions.
• Review, comprehend, and consolidate materials provided by clients, such as financial data, operating agreements, transaction documentation, company presentations, and other critical documents.
• Assist in the creation of client presentations and reports, preparing supplementary tables, charts, and exhibits that clearly communicate findings.
• Generate high-quality financial analyses, including the construction of operating models, pro forma capitalization structures, and sensitivity analyses.
• Conduct research on industry trends, market conditions, and specific company issues that will enhance client analyses.
• Collaborate closely with internal team members and clients on various engagements to ensure alignment with objectives.
• Update the project manager regarding progress towards completion, client-provided information gaps, analytical challenges, and key assumptions.
• Effectively prioritize tasks across multiple simultaneous engagements, ensuring that tight deadlines are consistently met without sacrificing quality.
• Adapt to changing priorities and manage competing demands by maintaining organized workflows, anticipating bottlenecks, and proactively communicating progress with team members and clients.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required, with preferred majors including Finance, Accounting, and Economics.
• An MBA is preferred; a CFA or other relevant professional designation is viewed positively.
• 1-2 years of pertinent work experience in carrying out valuations for financial reporting or tax-related purposes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to convey complex financial concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is essential. Experience with financial databases such as S&P Capital IQ, Pitchbook, or Bloomberg is advantageous.
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple engagements simultaneously, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
