This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Monitoring financial aspects related to the daily management of the budget.
• Cultivating professional relationships with ISG stakeholders to thoroughly understand their needs and requirements.
• Providing a summary of reconciled funds in Excel or another system used by the ISG.
• Leveraging government and commercial tracking tools like the Defense Agency Initiative (DAI), SharePoint, and Power BI.
• Assisting with the Geographic Combatant Command (GCC) CFR and G-TSCMIS budget estimation submissions, along with making recommendations for adjustments to align with established technical standards.
• Overseeing program costs by country, tracking the number of engagements by country, duration, and activity or project to ensure programs are achieving their targets.
• Monitoring current year program obligations and fund execution, which includes purchases (e.g., supplies, equipment), Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPR), travel expenses, and costs related to contractors and Federally Funded Research and Development Corporations (FFRDC), while communicating these details to ISG leadership.
• Collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that contract coverage is funded and requested in support of overall ICB initiatives.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in government accounting operations, policies, procedures, and systems, as well as familiarity with Planning, Programming, Budget, and Execution (PPBE) budget cycle activities, general knowledge of fiscal law, and DoD appropriations.
• A Bachelor's degree in a finance, business, or related field from an accredited college or university.
• An Associate degree combined with 4 years of relevant experience can be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• A current Secret Security clearance or the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance or interim clearance before starting.
• Experience in Finance and Accounting Compliance Procedures, developing and implementing tools for tracking revenue and expenditures, forecasting budgets for events and programs, and familiarity with the Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) system or similar platforms.
