This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• Take ownership of and enhance TCGplayer's design system throughout its commerce ecosystem.
• Establish a visual language, interaction patterns, and reusable components to ensure consistent, high-quality products.
• Collaborate with Design and Engineering teams to consistently apply the design system across Figma and code.
• Define and uphold design standards, governance, documentation, and models for contributions.
• Develop and sustain component libraries, design tokens, variables, and workflows.
• Enhance accessibility standards and UX patterns based on customer requirements.
• Collaborate with UX Design and Product teams on roadmap initiatives, design sprints, and vision projects.
• Advocate for AI-assisted design and design-to-code workflows.
• Foster alignment across Design, Product, and Engineering teams.
• Over 8 years of experience in Product, UX, Visual, or Experience Design.
• Extensive experience in designing and evolving enterprise-level design systems for intricate digital products.
• Mastery in design systems architecture, component libraries, design tokens, variables, interaction patterns, documentation, governance, and scalable contribution models.
• Outstanding visual and interaction design abilities, with a portfolio showcasing polished product experiences and reusable system assets.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted design and design-to-code processes.
• Experience in designing for desktop, responsive web, and native mobile platforms.
• Profound understanding of the implementation of design systems in code and front-end technologies.
• Capability to define and enhance design languages, interaction models, UX standards, accessibility, and efficiency across products and teams.
• Experience in establishing interaction patterns and translating product innovations into scalable design system functionalities.
• Strong systems thinking, balancing immediate requirements with the long-term health and scalability of the platform.
• Proficiency in Figma component libraries, variables, design tokens, and prototyping.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with a proven track record of promoting alignment across Design, Product, and Engineering.
• Preferred: experience in eCommerce, marketplaces, seller tools, SaaS, fintech, or complex product ecosystems.
• Preferred: experience in implementing AI-assisted design and development workflows.
• Preferred: familiarity with gaming, hobby, or collectibles communities, especially in trading card games.
