UX Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that effectively convey the user experience and functionality of games.

• Design and refine game mechanics, player flows, and user interfaces.

• Perform user research to gain insights into players’ needs and preferences.

• Continuously enhance designs based on user feedback and insights derived from data analysis.

• Collaborate closely with game developers to ensure the user experience is executed to a high standard.

• Partner with product managers and stakeholders to align on business objectives and player feedback.

• Assist in establishing and maintaining design standards across the studio.

• Keep abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and emerging design practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience as a UI/UX Designer within the gaming industry.

• A robust portfolio showcasing at least one released mobile and PC game title.

• Submission of the portfolio is required for consideration.

• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and various prototyping tools.

• Familiarity with user research methodologies, A/B testing, feedback loops, and data analysis.

• Strong understanding of game development, game design principles, and creating interactive interfaces within game engines.

• Ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in user experience, graphic design, or a related field.

• Experience in user research, usability testing, and data analysis.

• Capability to perform effectively in scenarios where research materials are scarce.

• A generalist background in game design would be advantageous.

• Experience with casual games would be a plus.
