UX Design Strategist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Oversee engagements that deliver design solutions aligned with business goals and customer needs

• Address intricate user experience issues to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency

• Act as the advocate for the customer/user throughout the entire product value chain

• Develop and lead methodologies for user research and workflow analysis

• Generate data-driven design proposals, prototypes, and testing strategies

• Collaborate closely with client stakeholders, Product Owners, and Product Managers to strategize and devise solutions across Windows, Web, Android, and iOS platforms

• Engage in discovery sessions to comprehend client missions, stakeholders, users, ecosystems, journeys, segments, and project goals

• Perform user research and produce journey maps, service blueprints, and ecosystem diagrams

• Document workflows and spearhead the creation of future-state service blueprints

• Construct information architecture spanning various functions, workflows, applications, and services

• Align product and engineering teams with product designs and contribute to development roadmaps

• Facilitate workshops and interviews to identify pain points, validate assumptions, and outline experience visions

• Convert requirements into accessible, scalable, and high-performance design solutions

• Create and uphold design systems across cloud-native applications

• Work alongside developers on design execution and address design-related challenges

• Organize and conduct UAT and user testing sessions

• Ensure that project deliverables adhere to high-quality standards

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of UI/UX design experience with an emphasis on technical products

• A current portfolio showcasing enterprise application and portal design techniques, tools, skills, and craftsmanship

• Proven experience in planning, organizing, and overseeing information and project tasks throughout the complete product development cycle

• Background in carrying out primary and secondary user research, conducting interviews, leading discovery workshops, facilitating co-creation workshops, performing heuristic evaluations, and executing card sorting

• Expertise in applying research findings to develop personas, journey maps, site maps, ecosystem maps, information architecture, and interface design

• Experience in crafting information architecture for product portfolios or suites of applications

• Proficient in wireframing, both low- and high-fidelity prototyping, as well as moderated and unmoderated user testing, including accessibility evaluations

• Familiarity with working in Scrum teams within Agile delivery frameworks

• Experience in integrating research and design into technical sprints, including writing user stories and story pointing

• Collaborative experience with multidisciplinary teams, including service designers, technologists, data scientists, engineers, solution architects, and change managers

• Proficiency in Sketch, Figma, Adobe Suite, Miro, JIRA/Confluence, and Azure DevOps

• Knowledge of web and mobile design principles, responsive design, and best practices for accessibility

• Strong skills in presentation, storytelling, written communication, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership

• Requirement for US Citizen work authorization
