UX Design Career Changer Apprenticeship

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Develop digital products and services from concept to launch.

• Oversee the complete design process for a startup idea or topic of your choice.

• Manage product and feature scoping, along with comprehensive project management.

• Identify the target market for the product and position it for a successful launch.

• Integrate AI tools into your user experience design process.

• Design AI features and products by taking into account AI-specific design parameters and heuristics.

• Comprehend the workings of AI and advocate for ethical AI design that fosters trust without creating over-reliance among users.

• Formulate a business model for the product or service, illustrating how it will scale alongside the business model.

• Lead discovery research by managing user recruitment, devising research plans, drafting interview guides, conducting 8-16 discovery interviews, and synthesizing insights from those interviews.

• Present an engaging UX design and business pitch for your startup idea.

⛳️ Requirements

• Passionate about creative career paths in UX research, UX design, product design, or service design.

• Prepared to dedicate 5-10 hours per week to fulfill program deliverables.

• Available for 2-3 hour weekend lectures to learn the complete design process OR willing to complete online video course modules.

• Receptive to feedback from UX mentors and shows a readiness to revise design work.
