AI Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Take charge of AI-driven workflows and enhancements within designated areas of the product suite.

• Recognize friction points in the usage of the product by clients and internal teams, prioritizing what should be addressed first.

• Develop and refine AI-powered automations, tools, checks, and workflows that enhance the speed and quality of delivery.

• Convert genuine client and usage challenges into tangible product enhancements, going beyond mere notes, presentations, or tickets.

• Utilize AI and internal tools to analyze product behavior, review structured data, troubleshoot issues, and experiment with concepts.

• Collaborate directly with engineers and product team members to implement valuable changes.

• Interact with clients when necessary to grasp the underlying issues and confirm the effectiveness of solutions.

• Record your findings and creations to enable others to reuse, enhance, and trust your work.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in building, automating, enhancing, or managing tangible projects, even if they were rudimentary.

• High level of agency: you identify weaknesses, ambiguities, or gaps, formulate a perspective, and drive progress without waiting for everything to be fully prepared.

• Authentic fluency in AI that goes beyond basic application.

• Sufficient product judgment to discern what is significant, balancing user requirements with technical limitations, and avoiding unnecessary overbuilding.

• Ownership of outcomes: you care about the real-world effectiveness of solutions, not just the completion of your assignments.

• Technical inclination: you wish to comprehend tools, data, permissions, dependencies, and potential failure points instead of remaining at a superficial level.

• Proficient written communication to ensure your work is inspectable, reusable, and easily adoptable by others.

• Attention to standards: you can identify when something is inadequate, fragile, poorly conceived, or subpar.
