This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +4 more countries.
• Craft clear, concise, and effective product copy across various areas such as onboarding, navigation, forms, settings, dashboards, workflows, error messages, empty states, confirmations, notifications, and other product interfaces.
• Design patient-oriented experiences that encompass account creation, intake processes, checkout, order management, subscriptions, and ongoing care.
• Write for intricate operational experiences utilized by healthcare businesses, providers, and internal teams.
• Collaborate with Product Designers from the initial exploration phase through to production.
• Enhance information architecture, hierarchy, terminology, navigation, and interaction patterns through effective language use.
• Recognize broader product or design challenges that unclear copy may signify and assist in addressing the core issues.
• Develop terminology and naming conventions for features, concepts, statuses, actions, and workflows.
• Establish and maintain content guidelines that cover voice, tone, terminology, grammar, and writing styles.
• Create and sustain reusable content frameworks for errors, confirmations, destructive actions, permissions, empty states, and system feedback.
• Work with Product Research to comprehend user interpretations of terminology and product concepts.
• Test and refine product language using research, product data, experimentation, and user feedback.
• Partner with Engineering on states, edge cases, responsive designs, and dynamic experiences.
• Define communication for AI-driven experiences, including prompts, generated content, explanations, recommendations, confirmations, and conversational interfaces.
• Utilize AI tools to expedite exploration, iteration, audits, and content operations while employing human judgment.
• Contribute to scalable content systems through the use of reusable patterns, standards, and AI-assisted workflows.
• Demonstrated experience as a UX Writer, Content Designer, Product Writer, UX Copywriter, or in a comparable role focused on digital products.
• A portfolio showcasing how your writing has addressed product and user experience challenges, beyond just polished examples.
• Outstanding command of English with the capacity to convey complex ideas in simple and precise language.
• Solid understanding of interaction design, information architecture, user flows, and principles of user-centered design.
• Experience writing across entire product experiences instead of isolated screens.
• Ability to grasp complex systems swiftly and develop the necessary domain knowledge to communicate them effectively.
• Strong judgment concerning hierarchy and user information requirements.
• Capability to adjust voice and tone based on context while maintaining a consistent product personality.
• Experience collaborating closely with Product Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, and Researchers.
• Proficiency in working directly within design tools such as Figma.
• Keen attention to detail while remaining aware of the overall user journey.
• Comfort in a fast-paced environment where products, terminology, and requirements can change rapidly.
• Experience integrating AI into your writing process without considering generated copy as a final product.
• Ability to identify when AI-generated content is technically accurate but may be confusing, generic, inappropriate, or inconsistent with the product experience.
• Nice to have: experience in B2B SaaS, healthcare, telehealth, fintech, marketplaces, or other intricate software products.
• Nice to have: experience writing for both B2B operational software and consumer-facing applications.
• Nice to have: experience in healthcare or another regulated sector.
• Nice to have: experience creating or maintaining content design systems, terminology libraries, voice and tone guidelines, or reusable UX writing patterns.
• Nice to have: experience with localization and crafting copy that can adapt across languages and markets.
• Nice to have: experience with transactional communications, such as email, SMS, push notifications, and in-product alerts.
