User Researcher, Consumer – Part-Time Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +25 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with product and design teams to pinpoint critical questions and outline research that provides answers.

• Manage the entire study lifecycle, which includes developing research plans, recruiting participants, moderating sessions, analyzing data, and synthesizing findings.

• Conduct both qualitative and quantitative research, which encompasses user interviews, usability testing, and surveys.

• Select the most suitable research method for each specific inquiry.

• Present clear insights to the working team and share easily digestible takeaways with the broader organization.

• Assist in defining research tools and processes, advising on what should be adopted, discontinued, or modified.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in user research, particularly within consumer products.

• Proven experience in designing and conducting surveys using robust methodologies.

• Exceptional skills in interviewing and moderating research sessions.

• Understanding of AI-enhanced research methods and tools.

• Demonstrated ability to execute research independently from start to finish, preferably in a contractor, consultant, or solo researcher capacity.

• Strong skills in synthesizing information and communicating insights that transform complex data into actionable, decision-ready findings.

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with rapid weekly shipping cycles.

• Background in healthcare, telehealth, or other consumer sectors that require trust sensitivity is advantageous.

• Experience in researching subscription products or conversion funnels is a plus.

• Experience in establishing research methodologies or tools in an early-stage team setting is a bonus.

• Must possess active work authorization in the US.
